With the holiday season in full swing, there are many opportunities for families to gather at festivals and events throughout the 48th District. To help you navigate the many offerings in this area, I have compiled a list of community events that are taking place throughout the remainder of December. Visit Santa And Live Reindeer at the Glen Ellyn Fire Station: Saturday, December 9 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Santa and his reindeer will be at the Glen Ellyn Firehouse Dec. 9 for a meet-and-greet and photos, 524 Pennsylvania Avenue, Glen Ellyn

Christmas Art Walk – A Gift to Remember: December 12 through 24, families are invited to explore, discover and walk through 12 stores downtown following a map through the city of Wheaton on a Christmas Art Walk

Cosley Zoo Festival of Lights and Tree Sales: Now through December 30 from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm daily, lights come on at 3:00 pm at Cosley Zoo, 1356 N. Gary Avenue in Wheaton
